Scholarship Eligibility
The Yes! Fund for Kids is here to help families interested in utilizing the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit program to assist with tuition costs. A scholarship awarded to the applicants must be used as allowed by Arizona Law solely for tuition expenses at a qualified Arizona private school, Kindergarten through 12th grade, that the applicant attends or will be attending. Families must complete a new application each school year to be considered for a scholarship. The student scholarship application should be submitted to the Yes! Fund for Kids, Inc. after the student(s) have registered for the school year.
Scholarships are awarded from funds in which donors are utilizing the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit by make donations each year. Donors may recommend a student and/or school on the donation from. The recommendation of the donor will be considered in determining the grant allocation, however, financial need will also be addressed and all final decisions in awarding scholarships are at the discretion of the Yes! Fund Board of Directors.
Simple steps to be tuition free:
1. Educate yourself about the program. The Arizona Tuition Tax Credit Program gives YOU the unique opportunity to raise support for your child's education. Did you know that with a little planning on your part, you can reduce your child's tuition to almost nothing? It's true-if 4 donors each make $1000 tax credit contributions and recommend* your child, at least 96% or $3,840 can be awarded to him/her as a tuition grant!
2. Communicate the advantages of the program to your friends, family, and business associates. Remember you're not asking them for a donation; you are asking them to re-direct the taxes they already owe to the state by making a dollar-for-dollar tax credit contribution to Yes! Fund. Start by printing donation brochures(pdf) from this web site or picking one up from your childs school. A personalized letter is also a valuable tool to inform others about the program. 3. Enjoy the school year without the stress of tuition payments. In order to be eligible to receive a scholarship, you must complete a student scholarship application(pdf) for each family. Please send your completed application to Yes! Fund for Kids, Inc. The application is valid for the entire school year and a new application is required for each school year.
CORPORATE SCHOLARSHIPS: Distribution date to be determined as corporate donations are available. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Further eligibility requirements per the State of Arizona include:
1. The child is entering kindergarten in a qualified private school.
or
2. The student attended a public or charter school as a full-time student for 100 days of the prior school year and is transferring to a qualified private school full time.
